Welcome to the Sequim Bay Yacht Club website.  We are proud to announce that we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary this year and we are still going strong since the first meeting of this club on April 10, 1976.  Interests of SBYC are varied, including sailing, rowing, paddling, cruising, power boats, etc.  Many new members enter our Learn to Sail and Learn to Row Programs with activities provided year-round.  For those members without boats, we have a strong social membership with activities including monthly Happy Hours, General Meetings with speakers, and monthly Lunches.  We also offer celebrations for Opening Day of boating season, Summer Solstice, Winter Solstice, Commodore’s Ball, Change of Watch, Men’s Treat and our Annual Picnic.  And of course, this year we are looking forward to our big 50th Anniversary Celebration in April!  Our clubroom is located in the main building at the John Wayne Marina with expansive views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Travis Spit and Sequim Bay.

SBYC is an all-volunteer organization and we encourage members to participate in our many activities and events.  For the past 30+ years we have been honored to support Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County with a total of over $550,000.  In September we host our Reach and Row for Hospice Event and raise money with our Sailing Regatta, Paddle/Row Races, and Dessert Auction with all monies raised going to Volunteer Hospice.  We consider this to be a very worthy cause and very important to our community.
